2026 Fredericksburg Democratic Committee Reogranization
Per the Democratic Party of Virginia’s Party Plan, all local committees must reorganize every two years; electing the membership and officers of the new committee. If you’re a Democrat who’s registered to vote in the city of Fredericksburg, we would love to see you at our Reorganization Caucus & Officer Election on Wednesday, January 14th, starting at 6:30 pm, at 718 Caroline Street in Fredericksburg. You can participate by applying to become a member, attending the Reorganization Caucus to elect the members, or both.
Membership applications must be completed by 11:59 PM on Monday, January 12th to allow the committee time to prepare the membership ballots. Prospective members do not need to attend the reorganization caucus to be considered for membership. Officer elections will occur immediately following the reorganization caucus, and newly appointed members must be present to vote in that election.
Reorganization Caucus registrations must also be completed by 11:59 PM on Monday, January 12th. You must be present at 718 Venue (718 Caroline Street in Fredericksburg) to participate in the caucus, where you will vote on the prospective members of the Fredericksburg Democratic Committee.
For Clarity
We would love for any Fredericksburg Democrat committed to electing Democrats at all levels of government and furthering our Democratic values to participate in the caucus and to join our membership. However, you are welcome to do one without the other. You must be present at the caucus on January 14th to vote on our membership and officers. And most people who apply to be members participate in the caucus if they’re available, but it’s not required. Please feel free to email chair@fredericksburgdems.org with any questions or if you have any trouble filling out the forms.
